In spite of the curious moniker, the collusion of Jochem Pap and Mike Paradinas--aka Speedy J and u-ziq respectively--proved a winner for the Planet Mu imprint back in 1998. Four years on and the pair revisit So Soon via a selection of mixes courtesy of some of the leading lights of electronica. As befits the disparate leanings of the original work, there is a wide range of material scattered between the opening and closing Boards of Canada interpretations of "Poppy Seed." Though the white-noise labwork of Coil, Horse Opera and Pole is sure to prove a little academic for some ears, welcome distractions come in the form of Kieran Hebden's rootsy "Sutedja", a playful Matmos take on "Moon Base Alpha" and a slow burning scratchadelic mix of "Butch" from Tipper.--Kingsley Marshall
